Absolutely Immaculate!!
What an absolute treat to land here in St Johns at the beginning of our trip. Lisa makes you feel at home immediately, reflecting the warmest and sincerest of welcome. The home is curated beautifully… is absolutely immaculate and with great attention to detail. The location is perfect- able to walk everywhere. Breakfast if amazing! Generous homemade food… (Fruit and yogurt parfait, Egg frittata, Homemade toast and jam etc). A freshly baked tea cake available in the afternoon… Tea and coffee available 24 /7. Beds are very comfortable, lush bath towels, robes, slippers… Seasoned travellers will appreciate the thoughtfulness at every turn.Don’t consider another place. This is the best!

We stayed 4 nights in this outstanding B&B. The rooms are perfectly arranged and prepared for our arrival. Everything is lovingly furnished. Lisa is a wonderful host. A beautiful perfectly located BnB
Rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and so well equipped, host Lisa has thought of every detail. Breakfasts are delicious and homemade every morning, so good! And the mid afternoon treats are just to die for, could be carrot cake, triple chocolate cake or butter tarts, a wonderful surprise every day! Lisa is wealth of information about what to see and places to eat. We highly recommend if you are visiting St. John’s. Beds are so comfortable, and the room is spotless. Thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Rock’s Signal B&B! We had a wonderful stay. I can’t say enough kind things about our hosts, Lisa and Ron. The room had everything we needed for our five night stay, including a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious! Our host was very knowledgeable about the area and offered many recommendations. We were part of a group of six and enjoyed using the outdoor patio as well as the living area. The B&B was in a great location in the Jelly bean row area and gave us easy access to the downtown area. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!
Wish we could have stayed longer!
We were in Newfoundland to celebrate our 35th anniversary and the Rock’s Signal Bed and Breakfast was by far the nicest place that we stayed at during our 2 week visit. Our King Suite was immaculate, the bed was ultra comfortable and the bathroom spotless with all the niceties that you could ask for, it felt more like a 5 star hotel than a B&B. It had a gazebo out back with comfy seating to enjoy your morning coffee or to relax and read a book. A hearty breakfast was waiting for us every morning, as well as the homemade baked treats in the afternoon. The property is well situated within walking distance to downtown, a grocery store and numerous attractions, but the best part of our stay was our host, Lisa. She’s made sure we had everything we needed, had suggestions for restaurants, day trips, hikes or sights and even remembered our individual preferences for breakfast. She’s a wonderful person with a warm and friendly demeanor and made our stay extra special, we were fortunate to have been able to spend 4 nights there...we wish we could have stayed longer!
Perfect St. John's home away from home!
My adult daughter and I had the pleasure of ending our Newfoundland trip with a 3-night stay at Lisa and Ron's wonderful B and B. This was a perfect location to explore St. John's - we were able to walk everywhere and leave the car parked! Our room and its amenities were beautiful, and the meals ample, delicious, and nutritious. Lisa had lots of great suggestions for local walks and sites.
The Rock's Signal is a fabulous place to stay!
We had a lovely time at the Rock’s Signal while in St. John’s. Lisa greeted us warmly and made sure we were comfortable as soon as we arrived. She had afternoon tea ready for us when we checked in and had wonderful suggestions on how to spend our time, where to eat, and her suggestions were spot on. The location is perfect as we were able to walk to dinner and many attractions. She had breakfast prepared on time at our chosen time of 8 AM and they were fabulous….so delicious and so filling…no need to eat lunch! The Bed and Breakfast (we had the Lighthouse room) was beautiful, immaculately cleaned, and well supplied. If (when?) we return to St. John’s, we will definitely stay here again. She made us feel very welcome so returning here would feel like coming home.

We had only two nights and one day to see St John’s but this location and our host’s recommendations gave us the best opportunity to see the highlights in a short amount of time, i.e., Cape Spear, Signal Hill, Quidi Vidi etc.Our suite was luxurious and cozy at the same time. The breakfasts were superb, and a great way to chat with Lisa, our host, about St John’s, plans for the day, and also to visit with other guests.The location is ideal, within walking distance of downtown and the harbour with many dining options.You can’t go wrong staying at The Rock’s Signal Hill Bed and Breakfast. We give it 5 stars!!!

We could not have had a better stay. Lisa is so warm and welcoming. Her breakfasts are fabulous and plentiful. She customizes by dietary needs..amazing. The room was beautiful, very clean and well appointed (the chandeliers!). The location (on Jellybean row!) was great for walking around St John's and free parking is available on the street nearby. Can't say enough positive things about Lisa - her helpfulness and attention to detail - and our stay. We hope to be back!
